Electroplankton Rec-Rec Review
So on the list of random purchases lately, this definitely tops it. I had 150 coins about to expire on Club Nintendo and since they recently just refreshed their list, I decided to pick this up.
Playing through games that might just get stuck in your backlog.

I recently got my hands on a Sega Genesis again after having lost my old one in a move a few years ago, and the first thing I did was go through all my things in storage to find my Genesis games. Among them, a game I completely forgot I had, was Phantasy Star III: Generations of Doom.
Ah, those childhood memories. When I was a kid in elementary school, waking up early on Saturday mornings around 6:30am or 7am and grabbing my older brother’s GameBoy and one of his games and sitting on the couch under the lamp to see the screen. Those were the days.
Going into this game I had high hopes – perhaps too high. Everyone I’ve heard from has said how amazing this title is and so on. Having had issues getting into Persona games in the past, I probably should have gone in a bit more reserved than I did.
I have come to learn why no one in the Assassin’s Creed fandom talks about the handheld games of the series. They are bad…
With any new game, there is hype. Instead of jumping on the hype train like I did with Twilight (why did I ever read three out of the four books…), I wanted more information on story and gameplay of Child of Light. Luckily, there was a Youtube video with someone’s impressions on playing the first hour of the game without too much spoilers.
One must be wondering, “Why do a review on a 21 year old game?” Simple. At the time Link’s Awakening came out, I was three years old, didn’t have a Game Boy, and couldn’t read.
Finally playing this title has been a long time coming. Ever since I purchased my Vita back in November, Persona 4 Golden has been sitting on my shelf just waiting for me to finally attempt to dive into it. And boy oh boy was it ever a fight to get into it.
After having eyed this game for quite some time, I finally decided to grab it when I saw it on sale on for around $0.50 on the Humble Store. DLC Quest is a game that mocks the game industries current obsession with DLC and “pay to win.”
Wow, disc 2 sure flew by! Well okay, maybe me really getting into this challenge and playing it for 4-5 hour spurts helped, but still. Disc 2 ended up being right around where I expected in terms of difficulty, though only in a few major spots.
