Playing through games that might just get stuck in your backlog.
Going along the lines of my recent Yuffie solo post, I decided to do a post for the other challenge I’m working on – Zidane solo. Unlike the Yuffie solo, Zidane is available for almost the entire game. This, of course, presents even more challenges when Zidane isn’t available for play – but that won’t be covered until I do my thoughts on Disc 2.
Recently I’ve been working on a challenge playthrough of Final Fantasy VII where I play through as only Yuffie. This is partly for an excuse to play through Final Fantasy VII again, and partly for a reason to make the game harder.
Leading up to finally purchasing this title I had heard a lot about it – mainly that it was a good title and one any RPG lover who has a Vita should get. Well, I dare say that they were right.
So I initially found out about this game through PSN Profiles when it got the trophy list. Being a fan of these casual-type games, I got a bit excited and was eagerly awaiting the release – even if it did jut look like a Zuma clone. Well…
Yet another title on my list of “Thanks, PSN sales,” Ys: Memories of Celceta is an Action based JRPG for the Vita. Having had issues really getting into Ys games in the past, I was somewhat hesitant going in. However, the more I play it, the more I’m getting into it.
No Heroes Allowed: No Puzzles Either is a title that was released last month for PlayStation Vita. While the title has been out for awhile in Japan, it was only just released in other territories. You can tell in the game that it was originally Japanese – all the voices, at least what you can make out of them, definitely don’t sound English.
Part of the recent $0.99 sale on PSN I picked up this series of games and have finally had a chance to play through all of them. Darn delays caused by this thing called going out of the country for a week and a half… Anyways!
So I mentioned in my World Gone Sour review that PSN recently had a .99 sale. In that sale, I also picked up the bundle of the Sam & Max The Devil’s Playhouse titles. Having previously played Back to the Future from TellTale Games, I was hopeful. I also picked up Tales of Monkey Island and felt those had a good pace.
So while I was out shopping recently I decided to pick this game up at GameStop for about $7. Going in to it, I had heard some decent things about it. However… Apparently I didn’t look in the right places.
When I got this game on a $0.99 sale on PSN I didn’t quite know what to expect. Never having been good at platformers in the past, I expected I would have some issues with that. What ended up happening though is the issues I had with the game weren’t related to my skill, or lack thereof, at this genre – the issues came from how poorly the game is coded.
